California Dreamin'My stay in Romania comes to an end, since I go back to France on the last day of May... Although going to the university here was sooooo boring, I spent a great year discovering Eastern Europe!
Moreover I began receiving some news from the College I am to go to in August, in California, so everything is great. I will supervise French conversation classes and will have the responsibility of many things related to French in general.
I'm going to Scripps College, in Claremont, near Los Angeles. The campus is completely dream-like, and I will be accomodated for free in one of the dormitories, plus I'll have kind of a real salary. I will be among people from 18 to 22, so people of my age, and that's cool. But still I cannot realize, for now, that I'm going to California in August...
Summer will be short, and in July I'm going to see Blur during their only French show, in Lyon. I think that like during the RATM show last year, I won't realize that I will acutally be at a Blur show... but still, I will enjoy it as much as I can
Then the 17th and 18th of july I will be at a music festival near where I live. I don't know so much names, but anyway I will see Gossip and Franz Ferdinand, and I know the other groups are good too. There is still some names to be announced, so maybe there will be a big surprise. Last year we were given to see The Raconteurs, the Kills, The Hives, Justice, the Do, Iggy and the Stooges... quite a huge thing^^
One more thing, just to make people discover this great guy: watch She and her Cat, Voices from a distant star, and 5 centimeter per second, by Makoto Shinkai. You can find them on Youtube, and if you don't mind watching dubbed movies (I can't stand it, it kills a part of the original work) you can even see A Place Promised in Our Early Days. The guy began by doing all by himself, and on Voices from a Distant Star it's pretty impressive. Plus he tells good and beautiful stories. So go see them!

en tous cas c'est cool ton projet à l'étranger, je m'étais demandée si tu avais suivi une filière artistique ou pas, mais tu as l'air de sacrément bouger

Moi non j'ai tranquillement suivi la filière anglais qui permet pas mal de voyages gratos XD (la Roumanie en Erasmus, du coup j'ai aussi visité la Hongrie, la Bulgarie, l'Ukraine et la Serbie) puis la Californie pour 2009/2010. Pour le festival d'Angoulême c'est raté pour moi cette année puisqu'il y a deux jours j'ai trouvé un poste d'accompagnatrice en Angleterre dans le Kent pour la deuxième quinzaine de juillet, donc c'est la fête!
Bon et maintenant que t'as un compte DA, ce serait bien de mettre tes dessins dessus!! Même si DA c'est pas super bien pensé, c'est assez rapide au moins...

ahlala par contre DA reste un grand mystère pour moi, j'y comprends rien xD en plus je trouve la communauté de dessinateurs trop énorme O_O c'est hallucinant !! ça me fait un peu flipper tous ces gens qui dessinent :'
sinon de notre côté on a pu lancer notre projet de fanzine, on vend tout et plutôt bien, on va même avoir un stand à la JE :3
